Hello,

I recently got my 2012 Mustang GT Premium. It has the 3.73 and Brembo packages. I was looking toward my first mods, and I am now stuck between 2 routes I may take: One is the Ford Racing Performance Package (SVT axle back exhaust, performance filter, tune), and the second one being Roush CAI and axle back exhaust (no tune).

Can anyone enlighten me with the pros/cons of these 2? Which one will give me more power? Are warranty issues something to consider between these 2? Any major sound differences? Thanks for your input.

id go with the FRPP if i wanted to keep the warrenty.. i already voided my warrenty with the JLT/sct tuner but whatever, i could care less. plus the car is a beast.

I went with the 49 state legal Ford Racing A/B's. I liked the fact that they were all stainless and a full 4" rolled tips with the Ford logo. I plan on keeping the car a long time so the increase in expense made it justified to me. The sound is great with no drone that I could find.

You can talk to your dealer and see if they would have a problem with you using another intake and tune. They probably would not like it, but some are fine with it. An intake with no tune does not get you much of an increase in power. If you are picking between the two you mentioned, get the FRPP with the tune. The mufflers are personal preference, there is really no performance gain by switching.
