For a 5.0L car, anything will do. The 4.6L's are the ones you gotta watch because some a piggy back style. Anyways, a friend of mine gained 20RWHP with u/d's and roller rockers together. Not bad at all.

ASP always has and always will get my vote. I've been running a set of their aluminum pulleys on my car since 1998.

Whatever's cheapest, it doesn't really matter. Aluminums are a little more money, but they are lighter. Nothing wrong with steal ones though.
