I just recently bought a 2002 Mustang Gt and I am planning on buying a set of underdrive pullies for my first mod. Is there anyway to tell if the current pullies on my car are the stock set? I don't want to buy them if I already have them! Thanks in advance.

If the crank pulley is an ugly brownish color, its the stock one. U/D's should be some sort of cleaner black looking material. The stock alt pulley and water pump pulleys look about the same as most U/D's.

Most aftermarket sets will still have the big, ugly dampener. All sets of underdrives with the exception of the Steeda set piggyback the old dampener onto the outside of the actual underdrive pulley on the crank. Take a look at the water pump pulley, or the alternator pulley. They might have a brand name stamped onto them. Or, just snap a few pics, and we can let you know if you have any.

there are a few others that are non piggyback. Motoblue's, ASP's the ones jackie always support, and possible the SLP, I heard mac or bbk had a set coming out too.
