update on changing clutch :O

so i get back to working on my clutch today after not touching it since wednesday.. get everything off, the 4 bolts on the left side, 3 on the right, 2 on the top, 2 starter bolts (werent that bad? kinda easy) im taking off the tranny now with 2 other guys, just taking a berak.. going back at her in an hour or so...its off the block so far by about 3/4 of an inch all around, but the **** doesnt want to come all the way off.. its pretty much level im reefing on her at the rear end, the 2 guys are stabilzing it on the front sides (were using a jack with a peice of wood kekeke) just wondering if theres any tricks to getting the bastard off easy.. tips or tricks? lol

so far its been a nightmare, mainly because this is my first time changing a clutch and taking this much crap off my mustang... alot of things that dont clear, poor engineering etc.. but in all honesty I don't find it to be that bad..

but yah, any tips on easily removing the tranny from the engine with 3 people and a regular jack? lol

ok, so the 1 guy helping me was a retard, i go back at it by myself.. there are 3 starter bolts..

i take the last one off, lower the transmission by myself (wasnt too bad.. cut me up a bit.. thing only weighs like 75 lb's.. so just let it lower on myu body pretty much kekek

took off the clutch assembly, my flywheel is heat damaged, but im not getting it machined right now.. my clutch was RAPED though holy****.. so worn down like wow... peices were falling out while i was unbolting the pressure plate lol.

the whole process though isn't that difficult once I figured out the best way to do stuff.. this is my first time with a clutch change so it definately took me a looong time.

im going to the store tomorrow to buy a slide hammer to take out my bearing.. nice and fun.. im alittlew orried though cus a peice of the bearing fell into the crank.. I need to go after it with a magnet or something

its all said and done.. it took me 30 minutes to get out the pilot bearing... and an hour to find a place to buy a tool for it.

the tool ended up just eating the damn thing apart. lol.. i didnt resurface the flywheel.

i put all the bolts back in on the starter that was fuuuun.

I got a big time exhaust leak on it though, it sounds horrible. gonna fix that tomorrow or something.. i just wanted to drive it so bad it's been a week!

I should've taken pictures though.. now that I've figured out good ways to do it, I could do it so fast..

I put everything back together in about an hour and a half with another guy helping me.... thats changing the pilot/clutch release bearing, new clutch, tranny, exhaust, strut tower brace, sway support bar, all those wires... that third starter bolt took me a good 10 minutes. grr

it wasnt that bad though.. I enjoyed it somewhat... was my first time ever changing a clutch, and i heard its a nightmare on these cars, so i guess im satisfied.. only issue I found so far, is my reverse . i have to jam it in... before i didn't have too.. just wait a couple seconds for the (x component) to startmoving, then put it in without grinding.. if i try to ease it in now, it grinds like noones business.
