Ignore the wiring mess - I have it all working and just need to secure and hide it. I am putting it all into split loom and securing it with tie-wraps. It was loose in these photos for final testing.

These photos show the latest projects: 3 point seatbelts w/inertia retractors, new SCAT seats and steering column/wheel. I also have a couple of engine shots. I have the wiring cleanup, replace the thermostat housing and put in the p/s pump and the mechanicals are done.

4.5 years and counting......

Looks like a great project and you are doing a great job on it. I'm envious. Once you get it done, drive it like you stole it.

Thanks for the compliments

This is my first restoration and most every project has also been a 1st for me. It has been a long time coming (4.5 years). It is great to hear it run and I cannot wait to drive it every day.

Here is the link I used as a reference. My headliner was already glued and installed under the glasss - but I was able to pull it back enough to get to the mounting point:

Wheel & Console

The steering wheel is from Flaming River. I had originally purchased the FR rack & pinion kit with the tilt column. I returned the FR kit, kept the column, and used my remaining credit to buy the steering wheel. They would not refund my cash due to the excessive time (over 1.5 years) on the return, and I had a large credit to eat up. I chose the wheel and I am very pleased with it. It doesn't show well in the photos, but it is a billet wheel that has nice detail and a leather horn ring and grip. Overall very nice quality and I am very pleased.

The console is a standard "hump-hugger" that you can get from most vendors. It was in my parts car and matches my interior pretty well - so I am going to keep it in my fastback.
