Ok, I'm stuck at the moment. I've got an 02 GT with the K&N fipk, a 70mm ford racing throttle body, and the 40 series flowmaster mufflers. I've been searching through the recommended upgrade posts but I haven't been able to make up my mind on anything. I've got about 300 dollars set aside for my car right now, and I'm just wondering if there's anything worth getting for the $. I'm pretty much looking for any kind of suggestion. I'm not a total noob, but a lot of you know a hell of a lot more about this kind of stuff than I do ...I'm pretty much looking at minimal hp/torque gains since I can't spend all that much , and I was thinking pulley's maybe? or the mac prochamber, but then I started to read about how they didn't pass emissions, and that's no good for me (I could be wrong though...) Anyways, any suggestions would really help, and if there isn't anything worth getting for the kind of money, just let me know.

Get a catted X or H pipe, that would probably be the best mod for power right now. Otherwise maybe a shifter and rear seat delete?

get the prochamber or any kind of X pipe. You can get a UPR X and a Plenum for about $300. You will need to get MIL eliminators and you will need to put the original pipe back on a couple days before you smog it.

Where can I find a good place (online) to order and look up different brand x-pipes? I know of a couple like partshopper and summitracing, anything much better out there?

Listen closely. Magnaflow catted X if you are worried about emissions.. High quality cats, stainless steel pipe, and makes the flows sound great. I have a video of my combo if you want me to email it to you (wms004@yahoo.com). Otherwise save up another 100 or 2 for gears.

Call www.fulllineexhaust.com and say Stangnet.com forums recommended you call and they may give you a good deal shipped on the pipe.. otherwise check www.partshopper.com (thats where i bought mine for 379 shipped over a year ago).

I'm looking at the magnaflow x pipe w/ cats at www.partshopper.com and they're selling for $530 right now...I did find an SLP x pipe w/ cats on it for 400, how do those perform? What about the magnaflow shorty x-pipe?

that's why they say "Call us" next to the ad on partshopper. They have to put retail so Magnaflow doesn't get all over their back. Say you had a friend that got it for 379 shipped and see if they will do it. Forget SLP, they are good but they hang even lower than magnaflows pipe and you will bottom out more.

Hey before you order go to www.completeexhaust.com and get their number call in and talk to john. He shipped me the magnaflow ss catback for 320...so he may be able to beat that 400 for the x-pipe....just calll and see. Great reliable service too. I got the catback in 2 days

What these guys have given you is overall good advice. For 300 dollars, there's not much you can do but there are some mods you can do. The plenum and the o/r mid-pipe are good ideas for that kind of money. Pullies are not a bad mod either. I also second the recommendation for gears.

Here are some sites to browse and get an idea of what you want in that price range.
