Has anyone in here replaced the seat upholstery in their 94-98?

I have leather seats and my drivers seat is ripped in a couple spots and needs to be replaced.

I know on the older fox body models that they were covers you could install. I have heard that these are not covers, and are glued to the foam.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,

Keith

You'll find covers, foam (if required) and instructions.

Thanks, I will consider them, but according to latemodelrestoration.com it will take seat foam and covers for that one. I am trying to do this without replacing the foam.

Yep... the guide on TMI's website says the same thing.

http://www.tmiproducts.com/installation/1994-98 Mustang Front Bucket Upholstery Kit_99-6604-000.pdf

...and here's a video showing removal installation and how the two are off as a unit.

Thanks for posting up guys - to answer you the OP quesiton, you can't replace just the covers.
From 94-98 Ford decided to GLUE the upholstery directly to the foam - actually they injected the foam into the upholstery (think water balloon).
So sadly - in order to replace the front covers you'll need new foam. The video will answer all the install questions - and there is also a PDF walk through step by step version that can be found on our site, CJP & LRS's - hit me up w/ any concerns!
