Upper and lower control arm question...

I need to use the control arms that I have on the car for now. The PO had installed the Magna kit over 10 years ago, and it is fine for now. I need to replace the ball joints on both A-arms as both of the covers are cracked. I may just replace the entire ball joint. The UCA uses a four bolt BJoint. My question? How do you reinforce the control arms. I have heard of "boxing" them but how is that done. Does anyone have any pictures of where I weld in the supports?

I have the same kit and my upper and lower ball joint dust boots rotted off just sitting in the garage. I would like to replace the rubber boots with poly material but I cannot find them. It's interesting to see that the Magna kits had the same issues.

I think you mean Moog... excellent quality stuff. They're a bit more money than "cheap" ball joints, but they're worth it. Most good parts suppliers and stores carry 'em.

Whoops, type-o. Thanks- I know that "cheap" does not always mean poor quality, and conversely "pricey" does not mean good. That's why I ask those in the know. :nice:
