I am in the process of rebuilding my upper control arms. I bought new shafts and ball joints and I was wondering it it is ok to tack weld the shaft bolt to the control arm because the threads on my control arm are boogered up and it wont tighten...
Do yourself a favor and save your life in the process and buy whole new, complete upper and lower control arms. Or ask yourself "Do you feel lucky?" and keep on with what you're attempting.
Some people weld a small tab to the UCA that is against one of the flats on the caps to keep them from rotating. I guess it depends on how loose they are.
