Upper intake hose questions

For once the search function failed me, I could not find a thread that addresses this issue (there probably is, but I was retarded and could not find it).

One of the lines that runs out of the back of the upper intake goes to the fuel pressure regulator. However, the new adjustable regulator I got does not have a spout for a line to come out of it. Should I just plug the line then (I can do this easily by just putting it over where I adjust the regulator), or is this a problem? Also, I noticed the stock intake has a spout on the front of the intake that runs to that little black box thing on the inside of the front passenger fender, and the new intake does not have any spouts on the front. Is it OK to plug this line as well?
Otherwise, the rest of the hoses on the intake switched over nicely, but I have yet to put the throttle body on, so we will see how those hoses and plugs go.....

For reference, I am going to be using the "cobra" intake, and I was using the stock intake before.


Furthermore, can anyone suggest a way for me to hold in the mass air meter? The stock one had a bracket on it I used to bolt it into the side of the fenderwell, but the new one does not, and it would be nice if I did not have a tube hanging and flopping around, but nicely secured instead. I imagine I could fab up something, but perhaps someone here has some advice to make something that might even be halfway decent looking.

What type of FPR was it? Odd that it doesn't have a vacuum fitting.

What intake did you get? The vacuum hose runs from the bottom of the intake to the charcoal canister. Without the canister hooked up, your gas tank will not vent correctly and could cause pressure to build in the tank. That vacuum line takes pressure off of the tank and feeds it back into the intake.

I don't use any bracket with my CAI kit and MAF and it is secured just fine.

Vacuum line connections:
One large vacuum line from the upper front goes to the carbon canister

One large vacuum line from the rear goes to the vacuum tree.

One small line in the front feeds the Smog pump solenoid control valves on the rear of the passenger side wheel well..

One small line in the rear goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

One small line in the rear goes to the EGR suction regulator.

One large line in the rear goes to the PVC valve.

So is there a problem with the new intake that I have? Is it unuseable? Furthermore the part number of the regulator is ACC-74561 on Summit. I did not even think of looking for a regulator with the boost/vaccum reference port. So basically I need to get a different regulator? Would it be okay to use the stock regulator for now (worked fine when using the 190lph pump and 19# inj)? Also, if it helps, all smog equipment has been removed.

i have the holly regualator, it also does not have a vacume port and i hav'nt had any problems with it.

Vacuum is vacuum - get some tees & hose from the auto parts store and make up for waht you need but don't have.
