I did a search and i couldn't find where to put the hoses/vacuum lines back on the upper intake. I took it apart to look if i had a bad lifter. Anyway assuming that the intake is on. There is a 1' 6" vacuum line that comes from right under the front of the intake. I can't remember where that goes, there is another vacuum line coming from the tree and i'm assuming that is for the brake booster. That vacuum line goes to the side of the intake or back?

This seems like a stupid question i know i know but it is my first 5.0. I've been generally a 4.6 4v cobra guy.

heres a pretty good diagram

http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/88Stang5.0Vacuum.gif

its been a while since i had the manifold off on our cars but its pretty much the same.

one line goes over to the vaccume tree, another to the FPR, one to the PCV. i guess just make sure all the lose vac hoses in ur engine bay are plugged in somewhere, always worked for me

Is that maybe the PCV line you've got? There will be two large vacuum lines off the intake - one by the throttle body will go to the vacuum tree on the driver's side firewall.

Another large vacuum line will go to the PCV which is at the rear of the intake by the firewall (sorta hidden until you get back there). The other couple of smaller vacuum lines will go to the fuel pressure regulator, EGR and canister purge (in passenger fender). Doing this off the top of my head.

Here's another vacuum diagram which is specific for our year model: http://www.mustang-tech.org/wiki/Image:94-95_Mustangs_Vacuum_Schematic.jpg
