Well Im glad you liked the sound because I could not stand the smell of the exhaust at the red light or when I was not moving. I had to weld in some high flow cats 5 days ago because I started to get headaches big time. I also developed this taste in my mouth from the exhaust and it would start at my tounge. I cant describe it but just a nasty taste. I hope you dont develop health problems bro later in life. Just letting you know my experience with an off road x pipe.

Ya that's why they invented cats around 1975 or so, they had all those nice streets and highways but no one was driving on them b/c people would get that yucky taste in thier mouths if they were to drive, so up until then, everyone used to walk.

To your striped bolt issue HoustonGT, just make a small trip to Autozone. They have replacement studs, usually where all their "help!" items are in. Picked up a set when i did mine.

These are what your looking for. Depending on how stuck on they are it could be a breeze or a pain. I had to take a torch and a good set of vice grips to get them off, but then again i'm in Michigan and 110,000+ miles clocked.

So do i just grab some vice grips and try to screw the old stud out or did you use the torch to heat it up and then remove it? Basically, how exactly did u get the old stud out? Thanks alot for your help

pretty much. Just heat and pry off. I tried to without heat, just some PB blaster and it wasn't moving so the torch came for round 2.

oh, i just found the old stud, it has a 15mm hex where the circular one is on the ones pictured, so basically use a deep well socket to unscrew it, would recommend the torch still.

Well i got the old nut off there, that was easy, i just don't see how i can really pry the old stud out. Is it screwed into the exhuast manifold too and just unscrews? If so, i'm gonna soak it in liquid wrench and wd-40 for a bit and then try to get it. I don't feel like paying $45 at an exhaust shop to get it done
