Urgent help needed!! Trunk lock

How in the world do you remove the trunk lock on a 2004 GT, what tool. etc.?? In process of ditching my wing. Need to change locks over. TIA

LOL ill look over my haynes manual when i get home in a bit see if theres any clues in there.

Last time I looked, it was too much of a pain in the ass to remove the lock.

YES!, finally some response! Do I always have to sound like a dick to get attention around here?? Thanks to those who are at least trying.

Your subject line just didn't say enough......errr maybe it said too much. Kinda the same reason you don't yell "fire" when you are getting mugged cuz no one will help you. But, if you yell "rape", someone, at least the papparazzi, might come and at the least, take a photo of the attacker.

When I get home, I'll check to see how easy it seems. I have "swapped" door locks before in haste, so the trunker can't be that tough.

the haynes manual (i have)doesnt cover the 99 and up trunks. taking it out is easy, the hard part is putting back in. the rivet that holds it in has to be drilled out.

however one thing came to mind why not just use the remote feature and find a way to cover the keyhole.

She is coming out, but you are going to have to fashion a retainer on the back side or re-drill a rivet to hold the cylinder in place.

the circle areas have to come loose
