URGENT help with bearing between pinion seal and race

i just finished putting in the race bearing and pinion seal in the front of the axle, i noticed that there is play with the bearing, its not perfectly seated in the race i can push it back and forth. is it suppose to be like that? isnt it suppose to be flush in the race?

The pinion race does have an itty bit of motion yes. Once you bolt the pinion in, the crush sleeve and pinion nut will make sure everything is squeezed together nice and tight so that looseness will be irrelevant.
