The owner of a speed shop near me was quoting me prices on procharger set ups and offered me a D1SC that is on a shop test vehicle for 4500 total for the kit, dyno tune and install including tax. The kit has a little under 6,000 miles on it and they're now going to build the car N/A. Does that seem steep for a used kit with that amount of miles? Any reliability issues? The car isn't their race car (they have a supercharged 408 SN95 for that) so it's 99.9% street use with a few runs down the 1/4.

I paid 4500 for my whole D1-SC kit w/10 psi pulley. that included a 3-core intercooler, 255 lph in-tank pump, #42 injectors, but i had mine dynotuned at the shop for $600 and that included a SCT Xcal2 tuner. I would just be aware that it came off of their shop car and that was probrobly beat the snot out of to get higher #'s. They are very reliable superchargers as i drove for 12 hours strait quite a number of times and had no issues what so ever. The only other things i would recomend getting along with it is a boost guage and a fuel pressure guage and a 90mm MAF at a minimum.

If I could find a brand new kit with the 3 core intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, plugs, and tuner for $4,000, I'd definitely do that, but I paid almost $5,000 for my entire kit that included everything. Plus now they are offering a 8-rib conversion.

After buying gauges and renting a trailer to tow it an hour to have it tuned, I paid close to $5,500. That doesn't include the hours I spent installing it myself. It was a relatively easy install, and there are lots of tips in these forums to get you through it, but I'd definitely have it installed by someone who really knows what they're doing if I had that option for cheap. It would save a lot of time and frustration.

I'd say to go ahead and do it. Chances are, there's still a waranty on it from Procharger, and you may still be able to extend it a few more years if you're worried about the 6,000 miles already on it. That's not too many miles though if you think about it.

That's a rip dude. I got my used set up (FMIC, MAF, injectors, BPV, power pipe, EVERYTHING) for $2200 shipped. Look on around on the forums for good deals.

Update? Did you buy it? You should offer them less and install it yourself

I didn't, my wife said that she wasn't comfortable with a used kit and wants me to get a 9psi 2.1L Kenne Bell instead
