OK, I'll help you out. What you are saying is correct. Lot's of old wive's tail rumors floating around out there. The only way it can make an otherwise non-leak, is if it is a higher detergent and it somehow scrubs gunk away inside the motor where this gunk was acting like a stop leak. There you go,
