I want to work on cooling the air for my V1 . I've seen some pictures of air being pulled from the fender but closer to the wheel well (there's a plug there now). I want to put a front mount on it next and I figure the spot where most cold air intakes draw from can be opened up a bit to run my intercooler piping. If I could find a kit that would allow me to think/work less, that would be awesome. Any one got leads?

Sounds like you are looking for something like an anderson ford power pipe. They have kits for vortechs.

this is where I want to have the pipe go through. Anderson makes a box of plate and shows a pipe going through this hole but not a lot...looking at it I think a couple 90s and straights would do the job. But I'm not a competent welder by any means

I stand corrected, I see this kit hey have. I'll email and make sure it's what I think it is. Might as well get the 8PSI pulley with it...

I will go out on a limb and say that you probably do not possess the R&D or tools necessary to make one better than Anderson.

I'd be afraid it would melt from the under hood temps

UPR makes a plastic version that’s much cheaper. If you don’t care for the polished look or the price tag.

I got the Anderson power pipe, plan to install it this weekend. But is there some instructions with pictures?! I;m sure I'll figure it out but I'd love to get this done in a couple hours.

It’s pretty straight forward. You’ll need to enlarge the hole in the fender. I used a body saw for this. It’s also a good idea to use some type of edge protector. You may also need to lengthen the maf wiring.

I've got a 6" MAF extension already, hopefully it's long enough.
Plan is to get it in today and see how she runs
