I was looking into chips but have no idea about them. What would be the easiest chip to install. i dont want to mess with programmers cause I dont know what I'm doing. Could you suggest a good chip for me and give me some idea of what an install is going to be? Also is their any problems assosiated with installing a chip?

Just use a programmer. It may seem like a really hard complex thing but it is like 10 easy user friendly steps.

I would suggest ordering a programmer with some custom tunes pre-installed. Justin at VMPTuning.com shipped my SCT X-Cal V2 tuner with 3 custom tunes already installed - 87 octane mileage tune, 87 performance tune, and 91-93 performance tune. You just tell him what setup you have on your car when you order, and he'll set you up. I ordered mine right after I got my new gears installed, so he programed that into the tunes so my speedo would be accurate with the new gearing. Other companies will do the same also. When you flash tune your car the first time, the tuner will store your factory stock tune before installing the new tune, so you can always flash it back to stock if you need to later.

What was about the cost of that tuner? So if I get like the k&n air flow system I would have to tell him about that? Did you notice a big difference when you installed it? Also where do you plug it in?

$380 at www.vmptuning.com which does include the 3 custom tunes. Justin is a good V6 tuner, he has a stock V6 that runs 17psi from twin turbos. I think he broke into the 10's with it.

If you look under your dash, close to the radio section, there should be a plug like on the back of a computer, thats where it plugs into. It's called the OBD2 Diagnostics port. You'll feel an increase with 87 economy tune even, the 93 tune is the biggest bang, but you have to run 93 octane.
