I have a friend with a driveshaft from a 94 3.8 with a T5. he says it's the same length as the 4 cyl t5.I dont have a t5 driveshaft to measure it against. will this work behind a 4cyl T5?
fast forward two months and seemingly nobody knew the answer or cared to give an answer. for anyone that was curious the V6 driveshaft worked perfectly for the swap.
Thanks for the info stykthyn. Does the V6 driveshaft have that balancing collar/weight around the yoke that slides into the T5 tailshaft housing? My 4-cyl shaft has this and I'm wondering if it's necessary or if I'd be ok swapping in a shaft without it?
no, it was not there. also the SN driveshaft is a little fatter. the clearance for the exhaust was tight. if you have a lowered ride you may have to doublechexck to see if you have enough space.
