Does anyone have information or knowledge of what the imbalance on a 98 3.8l flywheel is? I've searched multiple places with every spec except that. Along the way I saw that later models are internally balanced but I do have the external version, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've been looking for this info, myself. No one seems to know. I'm thinking about using a 3.8 bellhousing and matching input shaft behind a v8. Not sure if this helps you, but the flywheel it uses is 164 tooth...I just don't know the balance weight. I do know that you can buy a 164 tooth flywheel in either 28 or 50 oz (f150). So I'm considering getting a flywheel for a truck and using it with the larger 11" clutch.
Edit: I'm presuming 98 used the 11" clutch like the 99-04. I could be wrong. Still researching this stuff. I don't know much about the v6 models.
