Everyone talks about doing a GT swap into their s197 stangs, but I'm actually quite happy with the mix of fuel economy/power in the six banger. The past few days, I've been throwing around the idea of a swap from the 4.0L to the new v6 in the 2011. What would be involved in this swap? Would it be a lot cheaper since you're going v6 to v6 instead of having to adapt everything to the GT standards?

cost would be the same or more. you're better off buying a new car, honestly.

If the 3.7 V6 cost less than the V8, it would be cheaper.

It would be a lot easier and less headaches selling your current car and buying a new one.

2008 V6. I would sell it for a new one, but it has sentimental value because it was mainly a gift.

Forget all that, do what you want! The value all depends on you. If you have no plans on selling it and want the updated V6 swap it!
Just make sure you check out all the potential fit issues, like engine mount placement, etc.
And have fun at it.

I'd prefer to keep it even when it's falling apart, thanks.
