I just need to know where this vaccuum hose supposed to go. Do I even really need it? All the others are connected and I know this was connected before I took everything apart. Check the picture and let me know what you think.

It's for the emmissions solenoids. If you want you smog stuff to work yeah you need it.

It either goes to the EGR valve on the throttle body, or is one of the air system valve hoses, but it looks like those are both hooked up already.

EDIT: that's not a pic of your motor, haha.. well it's one or the other. There are 4 hoses that come from that fitting, 2 go down to the air pump valves and the other 2 are for the egr system - one goes to the egr valve itself and the other goes to the upper manifold vacuum tree.

Yeah I think the black one goes to the EGR valve on the throttle body as stated...it has a real obvious point of connection...

Well I told you where all four of them go.. follow the lines to where they lead into that four way fitting. You should have one red, one green, one black, and one white line.

red->upper intake manifold vacuum tree
green->egr valve
black/white->air pump valves (on the tube that leaves the air pump)

It looks like that black one goes to the back of your upper intake along with your fuel pressure (red) vacuum line. It goes right above it or below it depending on where your FP line is...

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the 4 lines thats not old and brittle? When I was pulling off my heater hoses my pliers slipped and broke 3 of the 4 lines. I've currently got 'em patched together, but it looks like ass.

Mine did the exact same thing when I recently had the upper intake off. Like 2 or 3 broke.. I personally don't care, and don't notice a difference with them broken, so I just rtv'd the ends. I think a junkyard is your best bet.. I looked everywhere online with no luck.

Okay, I have a red line and a blackline going into my upper intake. and then I have one going from the firewall into it... is that correct?

Yup, the red line should be coming straight from the fpr. The long black line should be coming from that vacuum fitting (it should be red before the fitting and black after). The big vacuum hose goes to the vacuum tree on the firewall (labeled S).

Yep, it sucks. I'll probably leave it alone until I get around to re-doing the drivetrain sometime next year. I split mine down the middle and patched them together with windshield washer hose... it works.

Yes exactly...

I wish someone would have available or find a place that sells replacement vacuum lines...I would be the first to order
