How in the H*ll do you get the vac line that goes from the canister to the intake connected to the intake...I keep splitting the stupid thing on the intake side. Thanks. (I tried using intake cleaner as lubercant with no results)

Is it dry-rotted? I know my stock vacuum line was pretty dry rotted. Just slap a new one on with some WD-40 and that should do it.

dry rotten is understatement...to comes off with no effort...my 3 year old niece could remove it with 1 hand. I will try the wd40. thanks

If it is dry rotted, good luck. Some new vacuum hose will run you about .50 cents from Auto-Zone or you local auto parts store.

Well I just tried the old WD40 trick....nope aint happening. I plugged the intake hole (the one under the front of the intake next to the one that goes to the PCV) and then plugged the line. I think that hose has been the cause of my idle problem...too early to tell since it was intermidiate. Now to find a hose that will fit. what a PITA. Thanks for the help.

1/4 inch worked for me. Get about 2 feet of it so you have room to play. Prolly only need about a foot though.

DK. I used 1/4 the whole way and it fit snug at the connector. Oh, did you know there is a connector (somewhere around the t-stat housing area) in that hose? That's why I'm sayin' you only need a foot or so. I didn't bother replacing the rest of the hose from that connector down to the cannister. Mine looked pretty good anyway and didn't feel like running it all the way down.
Thats were I am failing...did not know there was a connector...it must be were the hose down sizes. Thanks.
