I've just installed a new lower and upper Cobra Intake on my 1988 GT.

I am in the process of reconnecting/replacing all of the vacuum lines and now find myself stumped.

Near the back of the engine (near the EGR)and connected to the fuel rail is a small diaphragm. What is this? And where does the vacuum line connect?

I probably should have paid closer attention when I was taking the old stuff off.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Fuel Pressure Regulator, needs to get vac from the intake as well.

Thank you.

Right now I have the Map Sensor getting vacuum from the intake too. Is this incorrect?

Great!Thanks.

Just one more thing to clarify:

On the back of the new Cobra intake, I have three vacuum lines.
1. Going to the Vacuum Tree (Larger Line).
2. Going to the Map Sensor.
3. Going to the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

On the front of the intake (Near the Throttle Body) there is a vacuum port. Right now I have this capped. Should this go somewhere?

Thanks again for the help.

The map sensor should only be plugged into vacuum if it is still speed density. If its mass air then dont hook a vacuum to it. The wiring does still have to be plugged into it though.

They all sound good except for one little vacuum line, it comes from the passenger side corner and goes into a little black thing with another vacuum line coming out of it going into the egr valve. You might have deleted the egr so i idk. at least thats how mine was routed anyways.
about the vacuum line in the front. is it the Big vacuum line Connected to throttle body, that one goes to the passenger side valve cover. Theres a little nipple on Cobras that look like a vacuum line should go to it but is there another one on the other side of the intake right behind that one? If it is that is the coolant lines not a vacuum port.

The small port on the front of the intake just after the throttle body goes to charcoal canister, which is a black plastic box located on the frame rail just below the air filter. Cobra intakes don't have the coolant lines like the stock piece. You will have to cap off the nipples on the metal coolant tubes that run along the intake

See if this helps...

The little picture that I put on top of the upper intake shows the back of the intake, so you don't get confused. That is not my engine bay, and I did not write the "back thuure" thing, either.:Word:
