Hey i am installing a vacuum guage (I know serves no real purpose but got it free) and I hooked up the vacuum line to the air check valve. It works till the cars warms up a bit so my question is what is another vacuum line that is constant. I was thinking maybe the egr valve line?? Thanks for the help.

There is an unused port on the vacuum tree (drivers side firewall) It has a cap on it.

Agree. Don't tap the egr line. You won't get any vacume at idle.

I hear Kirby makes a good vacuum, but they are expensive. My mom had an old one, but it weighed a ton. I think she switched to Oreck.

I have a street driven Hoover vac but my mom's all out dragrace Electrolux vac will give your mom's Oreck a run for it's money, lol.

i dont know, my moms old "dusty" eureka sure puts up a hell of a fight..... pulls all the way through 12,000 rpm!!!

nice... lol. I have my vacuum running to a "T" fitting on the vac line that runs from the back of the intake over behind the passenger strut tower. It reads all the time, drops to zero when I hit it, since there is no vacuum. By the way, a vac gauge is more useful than you realize. When your car runs like crap, a drop in your vac gague will tell you when a leak is affecting driveability. It's saved me three times. Torn vac lines, vac lines popped off, etc. Saved me from trying to figure out what the problem is.
