Anybody have any experience with these? I'm wondering if it's worth the
230$ They claim they ran a stock 302 block up to 9200rpm without any problems.

I saw these on TV, I don't actually know anyone thats using them though. I'd also be curious to know if they work. I'm sure the question will be asked, so for those of you who are wondering, it's a block support system that mounts in the lifter vally. It's supposed to strengthen the block, kinda like a main support

Their 302 may have held 9200rpm one time. It may have scattered the second time, but they can still say it held 9200. Also, look at those tiny fasteners on each one. Also, alot of race big blocks run up around 7500 without those things.

i have seen some post about these valley girdles before. the thing is from my understanding is that they were really developed for the 4.6L crowd. due to the fact that the twisting of a block when they are making serious hp cracks the valley of the block and destroy's it. from my understanding 302's tend to crack the opposite way from the mains up. so the valley girdle wouldn't be of huge benifit to 302 or 351w users. however if your block did crack from the mains up the valley girdle may protect your lower intake from being destroyed. that being said i have not heard or read any post about guys/gals 302 blocks cracking.

IMO...waste of money, the small 5/16" fastners drilled and tapped into the small pads can not do very much.

It might just hold the shrapnel together when it breaks.

I could think of another way to spend $229.

Dunno where you heard that, 4.6 blocks really dont split and will hold well over 1000 hp, even the aluminum blocks. There is no cam in the center of the block, they are pretty hardcore.
