Usually, but not always. With my 93 Cobra, I can sell it for what I bought it for, any time I want. I've already been offered 1K more than I paid.

The right car can be an investment. Many original owner people are selling clean, 100% stock down to the air silencer, notchbacks for more than they paid for them brand new. A guy I know just spent 5K more than the sticker for an 89.

and 12K invested in any basic investment back in 1989, would bring a lot more than the 16K it would sell for now...not even counting the insurance, registration, etc.

Don't go into a restoration thinking your going to get your money back on any 87-93 5.0.

However, in another 10-15 years things may change?

my notch looks better!!! lol j/k mine only has 35k miles as well lol

I know of some guys locally that have 20-35k mile perfect condition window sticker cars that want anywhere from 5k-8k for em, we went to one guys house just to look at one, its an 87gt with 30k on it, has been stored in the same spot since he bought it, he dd'd it for 6 months then parked it in 89', i want to buy it sooo bad but I know mods would follow, and that would degrade the value of it.
oh yeah he only wants 5k for it!! there is another 7up car in town with I belive 40k on it now, the guy bought that one after I bought mine, and started dding it after seeing mine being driven everyday, he lives by me and its good to see a perfect fox being driven everyday like that, especially that rare (1 of 1360) mine was the exact same car, side by side you couldnt tell who's was who's lol..

Keep it. Looks good, if it as clean and straight as it looks, keep it.

IMO, If you can swing it, I would keep the notch as a toy and buy a new car for a DD.

I love my generally stock 90 GT but I am really glad that it is not my DD anymore. New cars are so much more superior in terms of ride and comfort plus you get a warranty.

If you can't afford 2 cars, keep the notch. Trust me, as soon as you sell it you will be sorry you did.

Thanks for the compliments on the car; I think I am going to keep it but, it will have to stay as my DD as I don't have enough space to keep another car. The wife won't give up her garage space and I have a 1969 Corvette on the other side so the Mustang is kept outside. I'd love to be able to put it away and get another car but, I don't have the room.

I seriously need to hit the Lottery

add another bay to the garage it could be done for about 2k if you do most of the work yourself

My wife is so cool that she's even suggested that but, I think it would make the house look strange. That plus she wants a pool some day and the extra bay would cut into the pool space to the point where we'd never be able to get one.

I have a 1993 notch that is metallic strawberry (I think) with black interior. My wife thinks I should get a newer car but, I kind of like this one. My question to everyone is; do you think it is worth restoring one of these cars or did they just make too many of them for the cars to be worth investing the money into them?

I could probably sell it for $5,000 and put that money into a newer car; maybe an '04 or '05 GTO or I could invest $10-$12,000 and make a pretty neat daily driver out of it.

What are your thoughts on this as I am still very undecided.

WHO CARES WHAT ITS WORTH> IF YOU LIKE IT KEEP IT!

I sold one car because of my wife. It was a mistake I will not make again. If it runs good drives good and its paid for, why make a car payment. Keep it, invest in it, and ENJOY IT!
You will never find another one like it and nothing will ever replace it.

Trust me!! I have went through more cars than any one person should go through in the last 3 years becaue I listened to my wife and sold my vert.

No car will ever equal what I had. At least not in my mind.

So if your undecided KEEP IT~!!!!!
