Currently on my carbed setup I am running a breather on each valve cover. My friend just sold me a pair of Chrome Edelbrock valve covers. Well on these valve covers only the one side has a breather and the other is just a cap. Will this setup work fine on my car. I just dont want any unneccesary issues.

are you not running a pcv valve?
maybe you can just replace the cap with another breather

I don't understand the point of running a breather, unless you're getting severe-blow by that's pressurizing the crankcase, or you're running boost, which would pressurize the crankcase.

The PCV valve create a vacuum, and a breather, in my mind at least, defeats the purpose of that.

Sure it does....or it originally did if it was stock. They were on one valve cover and had a cap that the valve fitted into.

You should be fine with replacing the cap for another breather.

You may only need one breather?

Breathres will probably work for you. Not totally nesessary to have a PCV. Try it. What are you currentally using?

Wow guys nobody read my original post. I know the car has no PCV..cause I took it off. lol The question was am I safe going from two breathers down to one?

Heres a kinda recent pic when I first got the motor in (alot has changed)...see two breathers.

lol sorry dean. I'm sure one breather will work. If however it doesn't you can always cut a hole in new valve covers to install a second breather
