I have aluminum FR valve covers and used to have them on a carbed car. No clearance problems.(sold) Now that im putting them on my 90 There is a huge problem throttle body hits hardcore. Ive placed (temporary) spacer between the intakes to see how much of a spacer I will need and I need more than an inch. I have not seen a 1inch or larger spacer for upper intake nor do I want to add that much of a spacer. Is there anyting I can do to move the kickdown assembly or any other solution you can think of?
Besides buying a high rise intake.(Money is a big concern)

Anybody seen a large upper intake spacer?

Im really wanting to drive my car.... Sniffle sniffle

Are you running just the stock intake? If worst comes to worst I guess you could silicone two spacers together.

i drilled new hiles into the throttle cable bracket. So it mounts higher. But it still pretty much rests on the valve cover.

Im thinking you mean where it bolts to the upper? I see you have TF intake are those the same as stock height?

BTW.... Nice quad. I got a fo-fiddy. Where you ride?

It sounds like your going to need to go with a stock height valve cover. If rocker clearance is a concern, I know my trick flows clear my 1.7 stud mount setup.
