Hi,
I'm running the Comp Ultra gold roller rockers on TFS heads. My V/Cs are "Mustang powered by Ford" cast aluminum. I had to remove the oil baffles and grind down all of the casting bosses. Later, I found dbl thick gaskets could be used, as well. I wanted to retain my V/Cs as I didn't like any of the alternatives.
Good Luck!

I have the tall FMS with almost .700 of lift on high ports comp gold rockers with a girdle and no issues.

Hi,
More than likely, the "tall" will e fine. After all, that's why they were successful.

i was looking at these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-6582-A341R/?rtype=10

i found them for 125ish new a few other places. i could do the Ford Racing or the Boss Ford Racing...

the Boss covers look a bit nicer....

i just really like the tall cover and angled flat top look

You could also go with a set of adapters and some FE "pent roof" cast ("Cobra Le Mans") valve covers like the Factory Five Cobra guys do.
