Can a pair of Ford Racing aluminum valve covers (for EFI) fit under a 93 (fox style) Cobra intake with no thermo spacer and an angle adapter to fit the throttle body in stock position?

your gonna wanna talk to rio (andy) about that one

hes got that setup but he switched over to the fox style TB.

ive heard since the 93 cobra intake has the built in EGR when you add the 94/95 elbow the throttle cable no longer reaches

i had exchanged PM's with Andy and the Valve covers that he has will not fit with the sn-95 elbow. he say the valve covers he has are 2 inches taller than stock. and on top of him changing over to the fox body TB, he also has an intake spacer. i don't know about all the ford racing VC, but thats in regards to the ones Andy has

I have the elbow on my 93 cobra swap. I just recently put on a set of fox body valve covers and I had to cut the oil fill neck off cause the TB would not clear. I still have some room for a little bit taller valve cover but the foxes work just fine without the neck and clear roller rockers.

urban96:the cables reach just fine when you pull out some of the slack.

cool, like i said i was just goin on what ive heard. thanks for the clairfication:nice:

Most of the issues I had were in the throttle linkage hitting...hence needing a spacer....much over 3 1/2" tall and you may have problems....
I never ran an elbow with the 93 Cobra myself...one thing that MIGHT show would be the IAC hitting the VC as it sweeps downward if to tall...
I would say something more "rounded" versus "flat" would work....Alot of the EFI covers are rounded to me... most I had are more flat across the top...like these Summit chromes..3.5" tall...

This is where I had problems...see how the linkage is hitting the VC....spacer time here...taller the VC, bigger the problems...The stock Fox ones are rounded to me..
