so ive got a pump here that i installed in my quest for a quiet power steering pump, and i accidentally pulled the valve out of one, when you push this valve that goes in the hole for the pressure hose, is it possible to reinstall it? how far in should you push it? it seems to go in 3 inches or so? shaolin crane said it was impossible to get one to work after thats been out, but wasnt quite sure. anyone know of a site of a breakdown of these pumps and where that valves supposed to go?

what fluid really should be used? type f or ps fluid?

Just put it back in the way it came out and it will be fine, make sure the o rings are still good on the fitting and the spring is in place.
I dont know about the type F fluid, I was under the impression Dextron was the quieter fluid.

Type F has a higher coefficient of friction and is what's called for.
