when i put the car in first, if i dont give it alot of gas, it goes, but i get a little valve tap. i have checked the oil, its fine. anyone run into this/know how to remedy it?
Get some engine flush and flush the motor and then change the oil and use a thinner version 5w30. If your motor leaks oil then it will leak worse. You may be able to flush the contaminants out with teh oil change.
If you dont change the oil often enough or if its been sitting along time that can happen.
BTW does the tapping happen in all gears at roughly the same rpm?
And if its been sitting then driving it a bit after the oil change may free it up also.
whats a brand name of engine flush that you know is decent? its kind of random, really just when i start off. and now itll happen if i really floor it in just about any gear.
Its basically similar to Kerosene and it tries to help flush particulate matter and debris and varnish and sludge into the oilpan where it will be drained out and the oil filter will catch the rest.
Im betting tis just been sitting awhile and just needs an oil change.
