Checking valve train geometry looks pretty straight forward. One question, do you need a solid lifter to check? If so, won't that give an incorrect result since no lash is accounted for? If a normal hydraulic lifter is used, won't that also give incorrect results since the plunger will compress? Will checking springs help if using a hydraulic lifter (verses modifying it to a solid)?
