i have a 69 w/ 302 on the exhaust valves there are caps that cover the end ove the vlave spem between the valvestem and the rocker arm, one of these caps failed and i cannot find a replacement, i dont know what to do. please help!

They call these lash caps. Napa auto parts still might have these parts. I also found them in the PAW catalog or your local machine shop or speed shop will have them. www.pawengineparts.com
