i have a breather on my oil filler, and alot of vapor comes out, its been like this for a while, i have a mini air filter on my pcv, is this vapor normal??
run a pressure test of all cylinders, results will tell you if blowby is entering crankcase. if pvc is not directly connected to intake you will have vapors escaping. if pvc is connected and working properly(no breaks in hose) vapors should not be escaping. why do you have these filters if your worried about oil entering intake install a oil seperator.
I will disagree a bit, depending upon how much and what exactly the 'vapor' looks like. Oily vapor escaping a breather can be normal in my experience (not experience on EFI 5.0's though - I keep the closed PCV systems on these motors).
An alternative is a closed breather with a vent line.
