VC Gaskets / Upper Intake Removal

I've never done this before, so i'm guessing i have to remove the upper intake to get the driver side VC off...

How do i do this, just un bolt the 6 bolts and off comes the intake?

well, yes, assuming you have the coolant and vacuum lines lines disconnected and out of the way.
spend the extra $$$ and get Ford factory replacement metal core v/c gaskets.

Awesome advice on the gasket choice. I just pulled my v/c's off after 140,000 miles to put on aluminum ones and the original gaskets never leaked a day in its life.
