Vent Selector

The only vent working for me is the defroster. I looked at the plug behind the vent selector and I see that the bottom hose is missing. Where does the other end of this plug connect to? What is the purpose of the bottom hose?

Anyone have pics and/or can explain this?

It sounds like you're missing a manifold vacuum feed to the selector. Without any vacuum, the default setting is the top of the dash.
