Other than the oil seal that's in the axle tube and the axle flange gasket. What other seals are required?I've read there's supposed to be a both inner and outer oil seals. In the shop manual it looks like only one inner seal.

I got a set of tapered roller bearings when I changed to a set of Moser 31 spline axles. If you get this type of bearing, there's only 1 seal on the bearing itself and then the gasket for the flange. Simple and no pressing it the inner/outer seals required!

Actually my rear is 9" disc rear from a Granada but the same thing as a Lincoln. The only difference is that I know how to spell Granada.

Got the axle shafts in over the weekend.According to the shop manual the torque spec for the end cap bolts is 90 to 120ftlbs.These are the 1/2 inch bolts that attach the caliper mounting braket to the axle flange.does that torque spec seem right for that application?

End cap bolts are those bolts that hold the spool in place if I'm not mistaken.
