Ok, I went to put my top down today and as its going down i hear a ripping noise
so i stop and put it back up and the whole top part that is stapled in is ripped out.
and i have no idea what to do to it, is there anything i can do to fix it or am i screwed?
Take it to a good trim shop that does convertible tops. If it is repairable it will be $50-150. If you need new parts expect to pay:
vinyl top $500-600 installed
cloth top $1000-1200 installed
headliner $300 installed
rear window assembly $300 installed
Convertibles are more expensive to own than coupes. It also takes more time to keep the top clean unless you just let it look like complete ass.
It takes a pretty advanced skill and specialized tools to do your own top repairs.
