Ther rear window on my very doens't work. All other windows work. Any ideas to determine if I have a switch issue or bad motor?

Thanks!

Going through the same issue myself, I'm going to replace the windows soon anyways, because one doesnt work and the other needs extensive help to come up.

Does your dash lights dim if you hold the vert windows up or down? If so, it probably isn't the switch since it is pulling power. The bushings in the motors tend to take a **** in these cars so that could be an issue too, which just is $7 a side at your parts' store.

thanks for sharing your misery! are you replacing the bushings or the motor? i'm leaning towards getting a new motor and moving on.

Water damage is a real possibility (convertible). The effort involved to replace the rear lift regulators is somewhat a PIA.

If this were me, I would get a re-man unit and replace the assembly.

I'm with you on the replacement. $60.00 shipped works for me. Does anyone have a link to removing the rear panel?

I couldn't tell from the original post. Did both rear windows quit working at the same time? If so, this more likely to be an electrical issue. Especially in the rear window lock out switch on the door.

Recommend confirming that the window motors are good/bad. The window motor connector is somewhat easy to access by removing the inside trim panel. Power the motor directly from +12 volts to confirm functionality.

It's just one window, not both rears or all. I'll pull the motor and check it with 12 volts.

I'm doing both motors. I might as well, I have bushings I am going to put in too though if the new motor (I bought a used one for the slow retarded one) doesn't have them included.
