Very fast Mach460 question

Hey

I just did a search and didnt find anything. I was just out at my car right now looking at the rear speakers. I have an 04 GT with mach 460.

I was a little surprised. I pulled off the first grill, and saw that the speaker was covered by carpet. ??????????????????????????????????

Is this right? I don't see how this could help the sound coming out of the speaker.

Yeah this is normal for the Mach460 installation. They did this probably, that you cannot see the crappy speakers with their paper-membrane in the rear, wondering why you payed so much for this.

It's normal...under the carpet is holes for the sound to come through. The grills are just for show. The carpet is actually quite thin.
