My Mechanic (who is a freind of mine and a ford mechanic) installed my new energy suspension engine mount and transmission mount kit last week. I seem to be getting a vibration from the engine between 1000 and 2200 rpms. It can be felt when I am in neutral and bringing the rpm's up and when I am cruising at the mentioned rpm's. We put it back up on the lift and checked everything again and it was all done properly and by the instructions. The only thing I have noticed is that I have put about 15 miles on it since the new mounts and it does not seem to vibrate as much as the day they were installed. Has anybody had this problem? do the new energy suspension mounts loosen up after a bit of driving and the vibration will go away?

Thanks for any information!

Only when at idle, not driving? It could have been there all along, but the polyurethane mounts are transferring more NVH to the passenger compartment. Factory rubber mounts are more forgiving and will absorb quite a bit. I had a buddy that went from stock rubber mounts to solid and you'd swear his stock engine had a huge pro-stock cam in it, the amount of engine vibration you could feel.

It does do it when driving between 1000 and 2300 or so RPM's, it seems to clear up after that, but when i cruise a 2200 rpm it vibrates. I didnt think it would vibrate this much with polyurethane, but maybe it will loosen up a bit with more miles?

When i did my energy suspension mounts i had to file down the metal nub completely on each mount because the nubs didn't line up with the holes in the k member, if you don't remove them, the motor mounts wont sit flush on the k-member. Take a look at your mounts, you will be able see if the mounts are not sitting flush on the k-member.

Thanks for the info, i will check that out. I have put another ten or fifteen miles on since I posted this and it seems to be getting less vibration , maybe it will work itself out?
