Vibration in the Steering

Like what my title says, I have had this little problem forever it feels like. When driving there seems to be some vibration in the steering wheel as well as the shifter.

About 3 weeks ago I had my tires rotated and balanced as well as the alignment checked.

I ordered Steeda x2's, Steeda Bumpsteer, MM Strut Tower Brace and Steeda Rear LCA's to go on next monday. Tuesday I will be getting another alignment.

I pretty much just want the play out of the steering wheel as well as the vibrations to go away. Will the parts I bought get rid of the vibration or should I look further into replacing the rack/steering shaft and rack bushings with poly ones?

You may have a bent wheel. But that wouldn't really cause vibration with a shifter. I'm assuming its a manual and also assuming that you know there is going to be vibration in your shifter just because your transmission vibrates as u would imagine. My guess would be you need to check the balance of your driveshaft

It has been like than with the OEM driveshaft and now with the FRPP one.

check your motor mounts my cobra vibrated when my mount broke allowing the exhaust on passengerside hit the k-member

The vibration isn't that violent, I've been in a Fox that had a broken MM. It has to be in the steering or suspension somewhere like that.

I'm thinking a bent wheel also.

Should I rotate the tires and see if it clears up at all?

I would. Also check to see that your wheel weights didn't fly off if you got the double sided tape ones. I have had that happen before.

i have the same problem, around 40-50 mph, had the wheels checked all is perfect as far as alignment/weights. i know my tie rods are going, they pop every now and then and i feel like that might be the problem with mine. but what is weird is i didn't much notice it with my stock 17" bullet wheels, when i got the 18" fr500's the bump became more noticable...but i bought them balanced and had them checked out by a good shop and said they were perfect (i assumed a weight fell off in shipping but they were still good.) let me know if you figure anything out, it bothers me too
