Hey guys it's been a while... years.
Anyway, still have the same car, 67 coupe with a 289. I've been making some mods the past couple summers, one of which led to my current problem.

Two summers ago I put on some AFR heads, ss exhaust, and an MSD ignition (distributor and 6A spark box). Anyone that has put this 6A on a car apparently has had a problem with Engine Run On. Well I started to fix it last fall and found a short that I fixed, but I put the car away before I installed the diode to fix the run on problem.

Well this summer I have to fix this problem. I was going to pick up where I left off. Last summer l put in a new Alt. and fixed the short I found. The voltage regulator had some corrosion and rust on one of the connectors so I replaced it too.

I just went out to splice the diode into the #1 wire on the voltage reg. when I found More rust again on the VR. Then I started looking at the wires. There are 4 spots for connections, but 2 of the 4 wires go to the same connection on the VR connector. See the pics... is this supposed to be like this? Or should I put one of the doubled up wires over to its own connector? If so which one?

And can somebody tell me if what l have here is correct? I have left this car the way I bought it when it comes to this part since it hasn't given me a problem, but who knows if it is even right. The car had 68 fenders on it and the front seats were swapped for some reason, so who knows!

If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it greatly. I can take more pics of you need to see them.

Bump...
I found a wiring diagram online, looks like there should be 2 wires in the "A" terminal on the voltage regulator, but it shows there should be a grn&red wire going to the 1 terminal which then goes to the ignition switch. Any input at all?
