Just wondered if I could get some pics on the tenioner on the car. The reason I'm asking is because I can't get the damn supercharger belt on, like its to short or something. I thought that you were supposed to leave that third bolt hole open ( so you could use the aftermarket tensioners out there ) and starting from the fourth you attatch the vortech tensioner. Thats how I have it on now and just can't get the belt on. Am I doing something wrong? Was it hard to put on for the rest of you guys?
Thanks,

So are you almost done with the install? The weather is crappy up here and the car is under the cover (they say hail is possible) so if the weather straightens up before it gets too late I'll snag you some pics. Mine was fairly simple to mount on, although we did have to take it off 3 separate times because we did mount it wrong. Look carefully upon the picture in the manual, you may just have it mounted wrong.

Yeah, finally almost done (going to school, and work, so didn't have a lot of time.). This is the last thing I have to do before I can try to start it. I think I have it mounted right, thats why I wanted a pic to dbl chk. I've tried looking for some pics, found some with those tensioners that mount onto the unused bolt hole on the head unit, so I think I've got it right. I did a search and read that someone had to order a longer belt from vortech, but mine is close to going on, and I figure it will stretch later on. Its been around 6 onths since I've even started this thing, something small like this just pisses me off. If you get a chance, pics would be appreciated

Eh, I probably should have left the cover off the car, it got dirtier than the dang rain would have done Anyways, I want to adjust my IAC tonight and play with my idle a little so I snagged you a pic. I think this sizes it up pretty well, but if you need a difference angle just let me know.

I think I had to take one of the bolts off that go in the grooves to get it to move far enough back to get the belt on...maybe both of them. Just leave the center bolt on and then put them back in after the belt is over the tensioner. If that makes sense....

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that out to see if it works. HG: thanks for the pics. Thats exactly how mine looks. Don't know why I'm having so much trouble. So anyone else have problems with the belt, if so, any tips or tricks?

What flyby said is exactly what you should give a shot. Leave the bolt closest to the passenger side of the vehicle in (so it can rotate) and just lift the assembly up higher than it should be in order to get the belt below the pulley. After that you can press down on the assembly and place the other two bolts in. If after you try this the plate will not move far enough for the bolts to go in the holes I would say you have a belt that is too short. The s/c belt went on for me without a hitch. Give that shot and if that doesn't work let us know and we'll see if we can measure that belt up and compare.
