i was just curious to know how many of you guys replace/clean and inspect your oil screen going into your sc head unit.

it says every 3000 mile but i have had such a difficult time getting that weak brass fitting to seal properly that i want to leave it be.

i have actually over tightened it and ended up breaking it because it just was NOT sealing worth a crap. i have replaced it since but vortech RIPS YOU OFF. that little fitting cost nearly 80 dollars!! im weary of doing that again.

anyone run across the same problem?

thanks

eric

Superchargersonline.com sells a stainless steel oil feed nozzle, so they don't break off. Of course that leaves the problem of over tightening and stripping the threads in the head unit itself, so you may be better off with the brass one. I've read that it's a fairly common issue, however.
