Vortech Guys, What did you torque your head bolts to?

i am in the middle of putting my heads on... i have arp head studs and they say that if i use 30wt oil to torque them to 85 ft/lbs is that good enough, or should i go more?

That's good. Wait 30 minutes and do them again, same 85 lbs.

i didnt know that ^^^^^^^

i have heard of other people doing like 95-105 ft lbs on their head bolts thats why i was asking

Use whatever the bolt manufactuer says to do with the proper lubrication. You're not using 30w oil on the lower studs right?? You should use rtv silicone from what i'm told BUT make sure the block threads are CLEAN!!

block threads were tapped out, and the lower bolts have thread sealer on them thanks for checking

When you torque them down and wait 30 min I believe it is because the head gasket settles somewhat so retorqueing just double checks that.

I only use the Moly lube ARP provides
I tq mine to 95-100

if i go up to 90-95 would that help or more than likely hurt?

I go to 85lbs on mine.
