the hose i have returning the oil from my sc back to the oil pan is getting old and thin and is starting to kink. i need to replace it and was wondering what type of hose to use that can stand that heat do they make radiator hose that size diameter?

I wouldn't use heater hoes, as the oil will deteriorate it and cause it to swell. Th size is 1/2", I would try to stick with the Gates cotton outer hose that comes in the kit, but I'm not sure where you would find it.

braided steel, do yourself a favor! you'll never have to replace it again.

dont know why i didnt think of that. what size fitting? not sure how the numbers work with the braided lines

Braided hoses come in all kinds of different flavors. There are lots of different materials used to line and make the inner hoses of braided steel line. Some are designed for fuel, others for water, etc... Russell is a company that makes one they say is good for severall applications and is rated for 350*+F. Do a search on summit or Jegs for Russell Proflex Hose. The part number on Summit for a 3 ft. roll is RUS-632200. That should help get you close. They also make fittings.

Braided stainless would probably work, but for your application the hose needs to be attached with hose clamps, and stainless doesn't work real well for that. Look into the Earls Pro-Lite hose on Summit. I believe you would need to use -8 hose.
