vortech super charger worth a crap?

I was reading in a mag that you can buy the "entire kit" so they say, for 2500$. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the reliability of vortech superchargers? Or should i suck it up and and get a better quality s/c. Any info or opinions would be great. Thanks

i've never heard anything bad about vortech s/c...there is a local guy in my area who has had one on his fox body for about 3 years now and never had a problem out of it. one of the local shops that does performance upgrades recommends vortech...personally i have no experience with them but never heard any negative...that's just my take

your asking like they are junk, now I could see if you were referring to a paxton ball bearing blower from 1992 then that would be one thing. Vortech are top notch

+1 I just installed another one on my most recent 5.0 and the thing is high quality. I think most sc's are equivelant in quality so it's more of a preference thing.

Jeez, I always thought that Vortech made good stuff....? I guess I should look elsewhere now
